  2. I know - I find it funny because, as a comedian once said, isn't near the jail about the LAST place an escaped convict would want to hang out, and so wouldn't it be the safest place to live?

  3. I've also been wondering if anyone in Shoreline is pro-jail but have yet to find any organized groups. If anybody knows of one, please let us know!

  4. If you want a jail in Shoreline, then go find a vacant school across the street from your house and ask the city manager if he will pick it as the site. That was the process he used. Maybe you don't even need to find a vacant school, why don't you try Point Wells - it's going to be vacant, it's the right size, it could work. Or you could pick Fircrest, the Northeast Rehabilitation Facility used to be there - but the city staff already had a master plan. The problem with the jail site was there was no public process, the city staff selected a site in secret, but all you really smart, informed people didn't know that, did you?
