Fall Color to Rival any April Day
Sky is ablaze with Fall Color. The Japanese maples have all begun to shift from more subdued summer shades to the riotous tones of autumn… bright pumpkin… deep burgundy… fiery red!

Beautiful Berries Beckon Birds
Colorful berries abound at Sky, and do their part to enliven the autumn landscape. From icy white snowberries to obsidian black chokeberries, beautyberries decked with amethyst jewels to pyracantha so coated in bright orange berries that you can hardly see the foliage underneath. Oh yeah, birds love 'em too.

Hail Kale!
As the weather cools, and many annuals are no longer viable in the garden, ornamental cabbages and kale come to the rescue! These large specimens can add much-needed color and structure to both beds and containers. White and cream, pink and purple, with deep or light green as a base. As the season cools, these colors will only intensify.

What's New at Sky
Dwarf Conifers — Our Best Selection of Camellias — Hardy Cyclamen…and more!

Future Fruit
Want an abundant harvest for years to come? Plant fruit trees now! Sky has over one hundred trees in stock for would-be orchardists…apples, figs, nectarines, olives, pears, plumscheck out the variety!

Groundcover Camellias…Say What?
Camellia 'Marge Miller' is the first groundcover Sasanqua Camellia. If staked, 'Marge Miller' makes a lovely weeping patio tree or evergreen shrub. This camellia also makes an effective groundcover for large areas or beneath trees, and is stunning cascading over a wall or embankment.

Fall Gardening Tip
  • Fall is the most important time of the year to ensure a robust, healthy lawn through the summer. To make sure next year's lawn is lush and gorgeous, fertilize around Labor Day and then again around Thanksgiving with a good slow-release organic lawn food such as Dr. Earth.
  • For a real treat, top dress with a thin (1/4") layer of Gardner & Bloome Soil Building Compost. Fall is also the very best time to reseed or to install new lawns. More Fall Lawn Care Tips.
